We have a family membership on the National Trust. I think that it’s a great way of supporting local heritage but we also love to use it on the spur of the moment. Around our table at Sunday Lunch we decided the day was good enough for a drive & a walk. Whilst David prefers the slightly further away Castle Ward, we decided upon Rowallane Gardens in Saintfield. We took our daughters and our dogs and set off.
Despite one of the dogs proving to be an absolute disgrace (seriously anyone tried any of the dog psychologists??), we also managed to get a picnic table outside the coffee shop. There was water bowls for the dogs and we enjoyed homemade tray bakes and a drink in the chilly autumn sunshine. Here are my favourite shots from the day all taken in my iPhone as my DSLR is in need of a service/repair.

It was a relief to get Coco away from this water feature as she does like to occasionally surprise us with a spontaneous swim!

There was a Terror Tree Trail as part of Halloween celebrations but we ignored it! I did however think this one display suitably spooky to include!!

The beautiful view from our picnic table before we headed for home! Well worth a visit – especially in the autumn as the colours are spectacular!
Also a final little video of my dogs
And a last one of wee Coco jumping a stream – such an adorable & funny furball.
