Which activities make you lose track of time?
I love to make quilts and that can make time fly for me! Though sometimes when sewing and things aren’t working out, I could happily throw the sewing machine e out the nearest window! I found this AI generated image on Facebook and it makes me smile as I think this might be what I could look like when sewing

I love to make bags from little pouches for headphones etc, through washbags right up to rucksacks and tote bags. I don’t mind if it’s held with a zipper or two or even if it closes with a drawstring! I mostly base my bags on patterns but I really struggle to complete it fully to instructions. I prefer to treat the pattern as basic recipe which I can adjust to taste 🤨
When I was really ill and pain levels were very high I found crafting with my hands helped ease the pain. I crocheted a lot of blankets for refugees when I was ill. It was good to help fight the pain and I also found it added meaning to my life which sometimes felt like me and my illness were burdensome to those I loved.
Last year I learnt how to crochet hats and made twenty hats for a Christian guy in Eastern Europe who gave them to guys in refugee camps there. Again I just love to do something with my hands to pass the time and also makes a difference. So crafting makes me lose track of time – especially patchwork, quilting, sewing bags and crocheting
