How important is spirituality in your life?
I believe I am a spirit being inhabiting a physical body. So yes then spirituality is very important to me. In fact, Spirituality is therefore both essential and inevitable
However, the only Spirit I’m interested in communicating with is the Holy Spirit. Part of the Christian Godhead, the Holy Trinity.
☘️ It is said Saint Patrick used the three leaved Shamrock to explain the concept of the Holy Trinity, (the Father, Son and Holy Spirit), to the pagan Irish during the 5th Century.
The Bible describes the Holy Spirit in many ways and by the many things He does.
- He arrived at Pentecost (10 days) after Jesus ascended to take His seat at the right hand of His Father. He will be with us, living in Christians on earth until this age is over.
- He joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. Romans 8:16
- He gives spiritual gifts as He decides. 1 Corinthians 12:4
- He develops in us his fruit (one fruit – nine flavours which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control). Galatians 5:22
- He helps us to pray. Romans 8:26
These are just a few of my favourite activities of the Holy Spirit.
