I’m a week late for 11am on the 11th of the 11th month. But lest we forget…

I live in a village, Hillsborough. This is it’s tribute to the fallen at a Celtic Cross Memorial in the centre of the village in front of the old Church of Ireland, St Malachy’s.


They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them.

The poppy has become symbolic of our remembrance. I wanted to highlight the red in this image letting everything else fade to black.
